Please help me come up with a clever name for my 9 year old's geology-related web site which will feature his gem and mineral collection. THANKS!

My grandfather is an explorational geologist who constantly gets asked what this or that rock might be. His response is to always pick it up, inspect it thoughtfully, and declare it to be a DFR. When prompted to explain what a DFR is, he clarifies, a Damn Fine Rock.

This is all to say that if he ever had any interest in the internet beyond emails as a fancy kind of fax my grandmother handles, DamnFineRock would make an excellent blog title.

BTW, my daughter's class (2nd graders) is loving this rock cycle video, in case you haven't seen it.

Since it's for gems and minerals and not really rocks (per your question) think about something the exhibits the virtues of why they are attractive to people. I was thinking "oohshiny" but looks like there are lots of those out there. I keep thinking of a joke from field class where someone gets magpie'd as we're walking somewhere - something shiny grabs their attention and they end up picking it up.

Also because I'm always one to laugh at people with "Power Crystals" something like powerlesscrystals.com.
