Where can I do a week's laundry in NYC?

I'm looking for a laundromat or a place that will do my laundry in Midtown West.

I'm going on my annual 10 day long trip to NY in April (yay!), but I want to reduce the amount of clothes I need to bring and do laundry there.

All of the clothes that I bring can be washed quite easily, so I would rather go to a laundromat than pay high prices at the hotel. It is only going to be a week's worth of laundry, so I probably won't hit the minimum amount that most delivery places require.

Is there any place that you recommend in Midtown West? I'm pretty familiar with the city but I would prefer to be able to walk there, hence Midtown West.

I don't have a suggestion but I'd ask the concierge at your hotel where there are laundry facilities in the neighborhood. Another suggestion would be to check Yelp.

I don't have a suggestion (there are zillions, they blend in to the background until you need one) but rest assured, you will find one very close to where ever you are!

You'd be surprised how many hotels have coin-operated laundry facilities for guests. Check and see if yours does - it'd be the easiest solution.

Response by poster: Thanks all - I'm specifically looking for recommendations. My hotel doesn't have a coin-operated laundry facilities, and I'm looking for a place that is clean.

Best answer: If I were you, I'd head to 9th Avenue. This one looks good.

Response by poster: I ended up going here. It was $8* for Wash and Fold, finished the same day. Since laundromats were around $6, I figured the extra $2 was completely worth not having to sit by the washing machine all day!

*$8 for the first 10 lbs, 80 cents for each additional pound.
