It Goes in the Ground

I am looking for a specific ARG from a few years ago.
It took the form of a "tourism" video series. I want to say it was for "Portland," but I'm super-unsure about that. The gag, at least initially, was what a craphole the town actually was, but as you watched the videos, it became more and more apparent that this was some kind of hellish alternate reality, post-apocalyptic. There were pictures of kohlrabi (or some odd, white, bulbous vegetable) in the background in a lot of places, labeled "Family Tree" and "It goes in the ground." At one point, mutant beings with some sort of sonic powers attack and disrupt the filming. I distinctly remember a scene of the "mayor" who was hosting the videos holding a kohlrabi (or whatever) and imploring the viewer to "come plant [their] family tree in [Portland?]."
I've been pondering this and Googling for a few days now, but my Google-fu is weak. Can anyone help?
