Does anybody know what has happened to deoxy.org? Their website seems to have completely fubar'd since the last time I was there.

I'll just skip past the fnord jokes and ask what looks wrong to you? been a while since I poked around over there, but the layout looks alright and the links I tried worked. Can you take a screenshot?

I cannot get the page to load and have tried to do so for a couple of weeks now. I can see the whole rest of the internet as far as I know. My ISP is a global corp but maybe the local church ladies have succeeded in getting a local blockage?

My (limited) understanding of the internet is that would be expensive to put together, like building a Chinese firewall.

Response by poster: This is what firefox says:

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at deoxy.org.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I get a very similar message from Chrome.

Hmmm... try this?

Response by poster: That did something--it changed the chrome error message:

This webpage is not available
Google Chrome's connection attempt to 70.85.129.195 was rejected. The website may be down, or your network may not be properly configured.

Response by poster: Also:

Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the connection.

Maybe deoxy.org has decided they don't like my internet address?

Loads fine for me. Can you try Firefox in private mode and see if that changes anything?

Response by poster: Firefox in private mode is the same error message as above.

I have been having the exact same issue with www.metafilter.com since mid-December. I thought it was an ISP issue but I visited my family over Christmas and still couldn't access it with their (different from mine) ISP. At this point, I'm using the FoxyProxy FF plugin and Tor to get around it.
