Dress socks with toes?

What are some quality, stylish, non-garish toe socks?
I bought myself a pair of Vibram Fivefingers (black) for Christmas, and I really like just wearing them around indoors. I've discovered that with black socks, they look remarkably nondescript at work, at least at my desk, and they're comfy.
I bought a pair of Injinjis (performance crew), but they tend to slip a lot around the ankles. I've seen some interesting options at Sock Dreams, but I'm hesitant to pay $15-20 for a pair of socks without better info.
What are some good options for toe socks for women?
In particular, I'm looking for just below the knee or higher, tights are good too. I have fairly average feet, US size 8-9 depending, somewhat narrow. Note: no stripes, polka dots, or anklets, please!

Tabio toe socks are wonderful, with rubberized grips to prevent slipping. I don't see any 100% black socks but the stripe is extremely subtle and they have solid charcoal grey.

Best answer: Came to suggest sock dreams. I looove their toe socks, especially since they have knee highs and longer. Careful, they're the doritos of socks: you can't buy just once.

Response by poster: Thanks; Sock Dreams it is then. (I've been looking particularly at the ToeToe brand, like these knee-highs.)

I have a pair of smartwool toe socks. I highly recommend trying them on first, because if you have short toes like I do, the toes may be a bit long. I bought a medium sock, and kind of wish now I'd bought the small size. I still like and wear them because they DO fit except for that goofy pinky toe which looks too big for my tiny-toed feet.
And yes, ToeToe are awesome. Don't forget the stripey socks, they are covered in awesome.

my socks that don't come from sock dreams are all pretty much socks from target. they're a good cheaper option. although, finding them not striped might be a problem from there.
