Employment Attorney NYC

I am looking for recommendations for the best employment attorney in NYC to advise and represent a female family member, who was until recently a highly placed executive with a major US corporation, in a case involving her questionable and unfair termination. She appears to have valid concerns and solid reasons for legal action, including but not limited to personal defamation, religious bias etc. She lives in Manhattan and is just beginning her search to find the best in the field. I told her I would check with you. Any advice and/or referrals would be appreciated. Thank you.
A lot of the most highly paid employment attorneys are going to be defense-side attorneys who represent companies like her former one. If it were my case, I would absolutely try to find someone who is a plaintiff-side lawyer much or all of the time. In this area there is a lot of overlap between employment and civil rights. I don't know anyone specific in that city to recommend, but those are things I would keep an eye out for while searching.

I also come to recommend Outten and Golden. They are plaintiffs' side employment lawyers (always). They do civil rights, discrimination, etc.
