What modem should I get, to replace an AT&T 2Wire DSL model?

My modem is crapping out. I need to replace it, but don't want to get a direct replacement from AT&T (as it seems expensive).

I need an exact replacement for the AT&T 2Wire modem.

We run a number of wireless devices (iPad, laptop, desktop), all of which need internet access. We have AT&T "high speed" U-verse.

What sort of modem should I be looking for?

Best answer: Just get a new one? Bought a refurb off CowBoom and have put it in with no discernible trouble so far. Is that the exact model number of what you already have?

Response by poster: Yes, same model - that's a great deal. Thank you.

They had their refurbs on sale a couple of weeks ago for $25. Jumped on it for a family member that had an old Netopia back from when they had Earthlink that got repurposed into their AT&T one when they signed up for that service. Put it in a week or so ago, no calls, and they've said their internet actually is going a touch faster through the new one.
