Looking for a movie and searching Wooden Coin didn't get me far

Help me identify this movie I saw in the early 90's on TV (possibly a premium channel) that involves all kinds of weird things! What little I know ...
The main character is a teenage boy. Older teens, I'd guess 17. He still lives with his parents and at some point a female vampire (possibly not a vampire, but otherworldly nontheless) starts to regularly visit and befriend him. She comes in through his window.
I also remember that he had a wooden coin. I don't remember who he got it from, but I do remember that he obtained some sort of power from the coin (either via wishes or just thinking something). If I remember right, the coin wasn't actually the source of his power.
The most memorable scene for me at the moment, and the scene I'm hoping will spark a memory for someone else, is near the end. "The Devil" and the main character are on trains heading in opposite directions on the same track (ie towards eachother, not away from) and "The Devil" has turned out to be the source of the boys power (I want to say he ended up being his father, but that's probably wrong).
I've been trying to figure out what this movie was for years, and I'm available for any clarification that's needed. I've tried searching everywhere and even asking on (insert that other question site here) to no avail. HELP!

Response by poster: No, unfortunately not. The movie I'm looking for was somewhat 'campy' not anything dramatic or horrifying or anything of that nature. Thanks for the suggestion though jabes I appreciate it!!!!

Do you remember what kind of coin it was, besides wooden? I searched IMDb.com for the phrase "wooden coin," and Google came back with no matches. Allow Google to replace "coin" with a type of coin (most commonly a nickel), and I start to get results.

Response by poster: No not at all, that's what makes it so tough. It wasn't something you could spend. It was more like a token. In fact... I've never thought about searching for a wooden token. I am going to try that. Thanks filthy light thief!

Response by poster: I got nothing wrong trying wood/wooden token... It *may* have been a nickel but I'm really not certain about that.

Response by poster: As I continue to search along with everyone else I come across more and more movies that I know came AFTER this movie. So while I saw this movie in the 90's, it's more likely an 80's movie.

I gave it a go. Looked for "wooden amulet", "wooden fetish", and "wooden talisman". Didn't see anything that sounds like what you described.

Response by poster: I did a few quick searches on both sites and didn't find anything, but I will try to post my question @badmovies.org because I'm sure it's a bad movie! Thanks for the tip.

I wasn't meaning to use badmovies.org pejoratively, it isn't just about terrible films, the site's about appreciating beaten-up psychotronic VHS oddities. So they might be in a good position to recognise obscure genre films.
But yeah, come to think of it, it does sound awful.

Best answer: Maybe it was Saturday the 14th Strikes Back? This clip has a female vampire visiting the teenage protagonist in his bedroom (holy musical interlude!) and ends with one of the back-up singers tossing him a wooden coin. This strung-together series of clips pretty much covers the entire movie, it looks like; there's a showdown between the kid and the evil dude starting a couple minutes before the end of the video. I didn't see any trains, but otherwise it seems pretty close.

Response by poster: OH. MY. GOD.!!!!!! Alyxstarr, you are my hero. I have no idea how I can ever sing your praises enough. Based on your information I viewed the trailer and this is EXACTLY THE MOVIE I WAS THINKING OF! I can't wait to watch it again. Oh the memories invoked from the trailer alone! I'm so sorry I'm just now checking this question again, and I wish there was a way to sing your praises to all of metafilter! If you're ever within 1 hour driving distance of me, I owe you dinner and drinks! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
