Is there a way in microsoft word to count words by author (based on accepted revisions) in a final document?

You may be able to count the words written by a single author by selectively deleting all the words written by other authors and then doing a word count. Make multiple copies of the document and do this for each author. To be practical, there would need to be some way to search for or at least colorize text authored by different people. I'm not certain that's possible, but I think it's likely.
