Help me replace my Etnies

Which pair of Etnies (or similar) do I want?

I'm female with hard-to-fit feet, so for everyday wear I have a pair of men's Arto Saari Etnies (the original, not the Arto 2). They're this pair on this old Overstock page, except in black.

I love these shoes, but after something like 7 or 8 years they're finally starting to show a bit of wear. The ankle/back is getting a bit thin and the shoe structure is starting to poke out of the fabric a bit. I'm looking for possible replacements. Finding another pair of original Artos is like looking for a needle in a haystack, so instead, I tried another model: the Fader. I discovered that those have a rigid toe box, whereas the Artos are flexible (maybe flexible because the leather/suede upper is mostly one piece?).

My question is, how do I tell if the shoe has a rigid toe box, since that's not really mentioned in the item description? Just by the way they look? If so, maybe what I want are the Freight or Piston? Actually, the Piston looks promising, but Zappos doesn't have the color-size combo I want in stock.

Lastly, if none of those seem viable, what else should I look for? I really value the low-key look of the black-on-black or black/gray Etnies, the rather extreme width provided in "skate shoes" even when they're supposedly medium width, and the fact that Etnies last a very long time.

Did you check the Wraith? The guy in the video says it's 'super flexible.' Reviews say they are comfy. I like Etnies too, and in fact, I think I'm going to buy a pair ...

Response by poster: Yeah, I saw the Wraith but was scared off by the toe box design from the outside being so similar to the Fader. Since they have my size I might give them a whirl on Zappos, but I was kind of hoping for someone to come along and be able to tell me how you know whether the toe box is rigid or flexible. Anyone? :)
