Another children's book question. I have been trying to find this for years. Read it in the 80s. It took place in NYC. For the kid's birthday party, he decided to invite everyone in the phone book who has the same name as him. One of the guests was elderly, and they made sure to make him kasha varnishkes. Thank you!

Best answer: I haven't cracked open this book in probably 15 years so I am hazy, but could it have been The Adventures of Ali Baba Bernstein?
