buffy shadow play

What is the name of the style of the revolving shadow box in Buffy The Vampire Slayer - "Get it done"? Is it an actual shadow play style or did they invent that?

My google searches aren't helping me.... Is this an actual style of shadow play or not? I'd love to have more documentation on it if it is.
(picture) (video promo of the episode)

It's basically cutouts revolving around a candlelight projecting shadows on the walls. A bit like those night lights with revolving fish pictures ou whatever, but with shadow puppets.

Any ideas?

Makes me think of carousel candles though they use a small fan in the center to catch the heat from the candle. Buffy's version might have been mounted on some sort of motorized lazy susan.

It looks like a basic shadow play to me. (That Wiki article even references the Buffy episode.) Love those.
