Recommendations for services/apps that compose and send text messages from dictation

Need recommendations for quality services (or Android apps) that allow me to dictate and send text messages for no more than a few dollars a month ($7-$8 max). Voice Assist came with my bluetooth speakerphone but it didn't work very well. Thanks.

I know some people may say things like "why can't you just pull over or wait until you get to your next destination?". My answer is that I do do that. But if there is a service that works well enough, it would be nice to use. So please don't reply if you're not trying to answer my question.

Thanks again for your help.

Best answer: Google Voice will do voice-to-text transcriptions for you, so assuming you have the ability to send texts on your phone plan that should be all you need.

Best answer: There was an article on Lifehacker today with a few suggestions you might want to try.

Best answer: Make sure Google Voice Search is installed, long-press the search button on your phone. Say:

"Send text to full name of person pause message text"

Best answer: Seconding bcwinters's suggestion (check out that Lifehacker thread and try some of the suggestions to find one you like).

I'm a user and fan of Vlingo.
