Is there a new Trek series in the works?

Is there any rumbling about when we might get a new Star Trek series?

I tried doing some Googling about this today, but there's not much out there. I know there's nothing so far along as casting or anything like that... but is anything being worked on?

I love Star Trek... I loved TNG, adored DS9, liked Voyager, and even enjoyed Enterprise.

I know the Trek franchise seems to be focused on the rebooted movie series, but I miss having a weekly fix!

I wouldn't put much faith at all in that. JJ Abrams is under contract for 2 more Star Trek movies, and I'd be incredibly surprised if they launched a new series before this "trilogy" is out the door. If I had to guess, I'd say they'll probably launch a new ongoing series somewhere in the 2014-2015 timeframe with a couple (but by no means all) of the movie cast, something like a "Star Trek Phase II" sort of further adventures of the enterprise scenario.

As much as I love TNG and DS9, and as much frothing demand as I have for the TNG blu-ray remasters, I'd be willing to put money on the "classic" star trek universe being dead and buried as far as movies/tv goes.
