What's the scary movie where the girl falls off the building?

I'm trying to remember the name of a scary movie from around the late 1970's.

Early on it showed a young girl being teased by kids on the upper floor of a building under construction. She was walking backwards from them an fell off the edge to her death. I didn't see the rest of the movie so that is all I have to go on.

Best answer: Assuming the other kids were chanting "Kill! Kill!" this is indeed the opening scene of Prom Night.
