Google Cache

Google Cache links have disappeared.

If I Google a site and it's down, or busy, or a posting has been removed, I can often get what I want by accessing the Google Cache. About 10 days ago, the cache links disappeared. I usually use FireFox, but they're also gone in IE.

How can I get the Cache links to show?

I've still got 'em in IE7, right after the URL written in green.

Best answer: There's a hidden arrow on the right hand side of each search result, mousing over brings up a page preview pane which includes the cache link.

You can also search for:

They're in the preview now (no, this isn't very intuitive). To bring up the preview, I have to wave the mouse off the right-hand side of a search result - there's a large double-arrow thing there that shows up when you hover the mouse on the result, and mousing over it is the trigger for the preview - and then I see the "Cached" link at the top right of the preview section.

I found this information here, rather than, say, in Google's own help pages. Usability fail...

Not to threadjack, but is there a setting to disable preview? I spent some time a few days ago looking for one, but only came across grease monkey scripts and ad block settings. I dislike having random pages jump out at me when I'm reviewing search results.

willnot: it doesn't look like it, even though people have been asking for one for a year. (I've looked for one too; I hate having something leap out at me when I click on what looks like a safely blank bit of the page.) If real functionality is being pulled out into the preview section, though, disabling it becomes less practical anyway.
