Help me put together an arm/hand stretching routine...

My forearms have been getting tighter and tighter recently, contributing I suspect to the beginnings of elbow and wrist pain. (Too much computer time at work, garden pruning, etc.) Please recommend some forearm/hand/finger warmups, stretches and stretching routines I can use during the day.

Best answer: Conquering Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Other Repetitive Strain Injuries: A Self-Care Program is an amazing book that not only offers specific stretches, but explains how to stretch in a way that's much more effective than traditional stretching. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Best answer: I like the stretching philosophy of this book, and I've gotten a lot out of it. It's a very gentle, patient kind of stretching (focused on fascia) taking the view that the tissue is injured, so pushing it hard is liable to be counterproductive.

Response by poster: Well, given that you both recommended the same book, I'm ordering it today! Thanks!
