My mail on your phone

A question about my google account on someone else's samsung galaxy phone (and how to get it off that phone)

So I went and installed my gmail account on someone else's phone. When I went to delete the google account from the phone, it told me certain applications are using the info, and I need to restore the phone to factory settings if I REALLY want to delete the google account.

It won't let me remove the gmail app. I have turned off all sync options for the account. I have wiped the gmail app's data. Then I went online and changed my gmail password.

My questions are:

1. Will the owner of the phone still be able to access my gmail, despite the fact that I have changed the password?

2. is there another way to get my data off her phone without deleting her data?

Best answer: Will the owner of the phone still be able to access my gmail, despite the fact that I have changed the password?

In my experience, no. Whenever I have changed my Gmail password from a work or home computer, my Android phone all but stops working until I enter the new password into the phone.

Also, If you log in to your Gmail account - not sure if the option is available on the google account page - you are presented with the option to terminate all other sessions.

Response by poster: Ok, thanks. I was just worried the phone would sync and pick up the new password. Not really worried about getting the "account" off the phone if that is the case.
