Best single and multiplayer iPhone chess

What is the best single-player and multiplayer (like by mail, except push notifications) chess app for iPhone/iTouch?

So I'd like to be able to (1) play against the computer and (2) play with someone through the internet, either an active game or chess by mail style.

Chess.com (they have an iOS app)

Chess with friends.

mplayer only though.

If you're looking for a serious chess game, then tChess is what you want.

A couple weeks ago I did all of 20 minutes of research on this very question and ended up with two free apps installed:
Singleplayer: Stockfish
Multiplayer: Chess with friends
