Is there a utility for the Mac that will sync bookmarks across browsers and computers?
I use both Firefox and Chrome on two different Macs, usually on the same network. Is there some utility that can sync bookmarks between these two browsers, on two separate computers that reside on the same network?

Best answer: Definitely Xmarks. I use Xmarks to sync bookmarks in Firefox and Chrome between my work PC and my Mac at home. It's cross-browser and cross-platform.

You might also decide to port your bookmarks to a web service.
I moved all mine to Pinboard (via import), and I love it. You can keep them all private, if you want, or make them public. I share the ones that aren't personal, which gives it a social aspect, and rest stay private. This is convenient when you want to share bookmarks with friends.
You can also install a bookmarklet in Firefox or Chrome and just click it when you're on a page, and that page will be bookmarked at Pinboard, giving you a pop-up screen first to add tags, change its name, or toggle public/private. It also works really well with groovy sites like Instapaper and Google Reader and has lots of other cool features.
No need to sync anymore if you go this route. You simply add the bookmarklet to the browsers on all your computers and just go to the site and login, no matter where you are, to get access to all of your bookmarks.
I love it, if you can't tell, and will never go back to browser-bound bookmarks.

Rockmelt. if you like chrome that is ... not just a social browser (I turned off almost al the social features )
