How can I cover my filesharing tracks?

I am hoping to be proactive, against what Comcast may try to do to me, in regards to this.

Best answer: Peerblock - denies connections with known evil IP addresses

Ipredator - tunnels everything through a VPN to an anonymous IP address

Don't forget, however that the Peerblock list is not guaranteed to be complete. It is, however, going to offer you SOME protection.

There are cheaper alternatives to Ipredator.

I've been file sharing for years, easily downloading 100gigs a month, and uploading about double that with no problems.

Use private trackers, if really paranoid get a vpn and maybe switch to usenet.

I view the peerblocking stuff as snake oil. They go by the whois name of IP blocks. Well, if I'm a MPAA/DMCA pirate troll, don't you think I could get my hands on a generic residential cable modem or a generic hosted server to do my deeds? Private trackers and usenet are really the best way to go if you don't want to pay for a VPN.

Don't bother obscuring your tracks. You want plausible deniability; own an unlocked wireless access point.
