Best Drawing / Art magazines that can be ordered online?
I'm looking for recommendations for good art magazines or journals with a focus on contemporary drawing, which can be ordered online. A friend's birthday is coming up, and I want to gift him a subscription. Thanks in advance!
There is a magazine published by American Artist called Drawing, but I didn't think it was very good. It seems like too many art instruction magazines are just filled with ads. Maybe one that features illustrators like Juxtapoz or Illustration might be good. Fukt might also fit the bill.
The thing with contemporary drawing is that it doesn't always encompass traditional drawing...it's all about mark making. See what art magazines your local library or art college subscribes to for ideas as well! Great gift idea btw!

The Drawing Center in NYC has a list of publications (I believe they are short books or exhibition catalogues).
I like the book Vitamin D: New Perspectives in Drawing

Another vote for Juxtapoz, which is pretty much the best cutting-edge art pub in the U.S.
