I enjoy reading people with opinions that differ from mine. Could you offer some suggestions to columnists (daily or otherwise) online that I could be enlightened by. I'm looking mostly for writer's who deal with current events going on in our nation and world. I'm looking for people of all different viewpoints and backgrounds.

No one has posted to this thread in over an hour? I enjoy reading PJ O'Rourke, who is much to the right of me, but quite intelligent (and funny too).

Interesting that folks should assume your opinions are left of center. In any event, here are some links worth exploring. Most connect to several columnists ranging from plausible to right on to ohjesuschrist

Memeorandum. It's a list of current events stories with links to bloggers on all sides of the spectrum (incl. many on IndigoJones list) who linked and opined on the current events stories. Always a great snapshot as to what the hot stories in the news are, and what people on both sides of the political spectrum think about them.

Regardless of your politics, you will probably disagree with some of the things that Andrew Sullivan says.

I second Andrew Sullivan. Thomas Sowell is always thought provoking.

John Tierney has taken over the op-ed job at the New York Times (from William Safire), and thus tries to foil their level-headed establishment positions. But so far I don't think he's been nearly as conservative as Safire was.
