Hairy phlegm?

Why is there hair in my phlegm?

For the past two days, I have seen about one or two hair-like spots in my phlegm- and today is actually hair that is something like from the hair inside the nose. What could be wrong?

Are you sure you're not coughing up excess nasal mucus from post-nasal drip? Could definitely be some nose hairs in that.

I might be completely off, just checking :B

I don't even cough, just excessive phlegm that won't go away. Ugh! I have been taking phlegm medicine for almost two weeks now, but still I have it.

Did you get a haircut recently or were around somone who did? Those little hair stubs can get any old where. If you aren't coughing how is the phlegm coming up btw?

My haircut was like a month ago. The hair I found is like hair from my nose. And to extract the phlegm, I make this weird clearing noise, and something I cannot do in public. Ugh!

If it's one or two hairs and not a frequent thing, it's probably a stray nose hair. You can always pluck a nose hair and do a semi-scientific comparison.
