What would you change if you went back in time?

If you woke up one morning and were a teenager again, what would you try to change in your personal life?

I don't mean betting on sports games you know the outcome of, or investing in Apple or Google. I mean the things involving the people you know. i.e. someone from your high school who you didn't know very well committed suicide, so you try to befriend them to stop. That sort of thing.

and there's no explanation for it. Like The Metamorphosis. You just wake up and are back in time.

I'd actually pursue some of the hobbies I'm interested in. I have no idea why I never did; I'd have this crazy interest in something and then decide to go watch TV or what-not instead of studying/practicing it.

I'm in college now, and finding myself wishing I'd taken up more activities in high school because (music, sports, etc) because now that I find myself going, "Ohhey, this interest looks like it'd make an amazing career!" I find that I'm already too late to reach the skill level required to make a career out of it without many, many years of practice.

I would do all the reading and finish my homework on time. I would write first drafts.

I would hug people more and write letters, notes, and maybe even just single words on scraps of paper to everyone I knew.

This is a chatfilter question that is unanswerable because there isn't really a right answer. Hypothetical, no problem to be solved, etc...

I wish I had taken myself a little less seriously.

This is a little chatty.

Having said that, most of us probably have a friend or acquaintance that we'd try to help-my best friend wrapped his car around a telephone pole driving drunk one night. Something I'd seen him do a hundred times and never spoke up about.... maybe it would have mattered but I doubt it.

More generally, I'd have slept around less. It took me a long time to recognize that anything you give that easily won't be valued by those who receive it. I was lucky not to suffer long term damage for my actions at the time but in hindsight... I have regrets.
