Craving cold Kinnie and hot pastizzi

I live in Calgary, Alberta. Is there a place I can buy Kinnie (the Maltese soft drink) locally?

No? How about anywhere in Canada that will ship to Calgary? And if you live in Canada outside the GTA, how do you satisfy your cravings for pastizzi?

Ooh, pastizzi! It's been so long (I went to boarding school in Malta in the 80s)! Watching this thread, hope someone responds.

You may want to ask this question at the Prairie Provinces board at Chowhound; there's a fairly large and extremely helpful group of Calgarians there.

Knowing absolutely about Maltese food, my one recommendation would be to try both Lina's and Calgary Italian Supermarket on Centre St, as well as Kalamata Grocery on 11th St SW; while they are Italian and Greek, they aren't 100% strictly so and I have seen them carry other Mediterranean specialty foods.

Response by poster: Thanks for the Chowhound tip, Homeboy. I've checked at Lina's and the Calgary Italian Supermarket with no luck. Many years ago I lived near the Kalamata and they didn't have it then, but I haven't been down there in 15 years. There just isn't a large enough Maltese community in Calgary.

I doubt I'm going to get a better answer than yours, though, so I'll ask the same question in Chowhound. If I get an answer there, Dragonness, I'll post it here for the delight and edification of Calgary/Alberta MeFites :)

I'm actually in the US but was hoping to pick up a recipe, actually. This question has inspired me to search for one online...
