Looking for the best Justice League episodes of Smallville.

A while back I watched a few seasons of Smallvile, but got tired of it shortly after Lois Lane showed up. I'm not interested in getting back into it, but I'm curious to see how other superheroes are portrayed in the series. Which episodes give me the most ensemble superheroics bang for my buck?

Season 9, ep 11/12 "Absolute Justice" has a bunch of justice society characters: Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Starman etc. Apparently Booster Gold and Blue Beetle were featured recently.

Best answer: The proper League doesn't really show up in full ass-kicking mode more than a couple of times in the series, but if you're interested in how the show portrays heroes in general, there's a fair bit to choose from.

Episodes with the Justice League in Ass-Kicking Mode:

Justice - the first full appearance of the League; Clark Kent, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg take out a secret Luthor facility. Includes full team Power Walk at the end.

Odyssey - the cold open has Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Aquaman beating down some Luthorcorp thugs. Special guest appearance by the Martian Manhunter.

Absolute Justice - Two-parter, with the Justice Society. We get Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Stargirl, Star-Spangled Kid, Martian Manhunter, and brief non-actiony bits with lots of other Society members.

Those are the only episodes with JLA/JSA members acting as a team that I can think of off the top of my head, but there are lots more episodes that feature other established heroes, if you want to see how they compare with the comics/other versions:

Run - introduces the Flash (well, Impulse, anyway)
Aqua - Aquaman seduces Lois Lane
Cyborg - introduces, um, Cyborg
Siren - Black Canary. Flirts with Oliver Queen at the end of the episode.
Hex - Zatanna. Flirts with Oliver Queen throughout the episode.
Idol - the Wonder Twins. Flirt with Oliver Queen each other never mind.
Legion - Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad from the Legion of Super-Heroes. They totally own Brainiac, because that's how the Legion rolls.
Homecoming - Brainiac 5 shows up from the future to play Ghost of Christmas Whatever to Clark.
Booster - has an okay version of jerkass Booster Gold, and an absolutely shit version of Blue Beetle.
Scion - Superboy (Conner Kent) shows up out of nowhere, does nothing, and promptly disappears.
Vengeance - technically contains a version of Acrata, but the character as portrayed is about as close as the show gets to a combination of Batman and Huntress.

Also, Supergirl is a major character throughout season seven, with sporadic appearances after that, and Green Arrow shows up at the beginning of season six and never leaves.

There are lots of episodes with various supervillains as well, and even some villain teams (Injustice League, Suicide Squad, quasi-Legion of Doom) but you asked about heroes specifically, so I'll leave those alone for now.
