Psychologists who research GLBTQ families?

I'm a history student, tossing around a project about the construction of collective memories in the GLBTQ community. I am wondering what psychologists might have to say about this topic.

Psychology, however, is not my field, which is where you fine folk come in: does anyone know of any interesting psychology research that has been done/that is being done on GLBTQ families or communities?

Literally anything on the concept of the queer family--queer kids with straight parents! straight kids with queer parents! broader definitions of family/community! radical anti-gay screeds masquerading as legitimate scientific research!--could be interesting to me at this point. I know a lot about how historians and sociologists think about this community but very little about how psychologists do.

Best answer: Your question made me think of the title of a book that i read in graduate school titled "Imagined Communities," which is actually about nationalism so doesn't really fit. However when I was looking it up under communities because I'd forgotten the title I came across this book: My Father and I: The Marais and Queerness of Community. It may not be academic enough, and I don't think that the author is a psychologist, but it sounded interesting and like it might fit your interests.
