sax hook

What is that 80s sax song that goes "do dwee do dododo?"
dark, slow, it's the main hook.
dooo dwee do, do do do
dooo dwee do, do do do (steps down)
treated with a ton of reverb, of course.
Important research.

Response by poster: done and done. thanks friends.

Two separate slideshows of lisa set to versions of Baker Street. I guess 'she' played i at the end of a simpsons episode.
Now my band can get on without copying the riff too obviously. thanks metafilter.

I am legally obligated to point you to Saxophone Horse for all your saxophone soloing horse needs.

Before I clicked in, I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to come up with an 80s sex song with those lyrics. More coffee!

I'm amazed anyone was able to to answer this question. It's the musical equivalent of "What's the name of that one movie, you know, with that one creepy guy in it?"

Actually, the answer to ANY "what was that late 70's/early 80's song with the saxophone" is always "Baker Street".

Yeah, this exact question gets asked around here fairly regularly.

Gerry Rafferty just passed away in January of this year. He was a great musician, and an under-rated songwriter. RIP old scot.

it was christopher walken. but you were close. i can never remember walken's name for some reason. but i could remember that he was in a fatboy slim video cutting quite the rug, so that's how i remembered his name.

Response by poster: saladin, that's amazing. I guess I didn't search enough. Still, this was a mighty efficient process. I found a couple youtube videos called "Best 80s sax solos" and "Best 80s sax solos II" that were pretty entertaining, but they did not contain Baker St. A recent entry on 'imacomputa'. They have a whole section devoted to sax solo excerpts from 80s songs.
Interestingly, a lot of the solos start off with that big jump from the root to the 6th or 7th (doo DWEE) I kept thinking it was the right track after the first couple of notes. Askme cleared everything up.

Somehow I knew it was Baker Street too (RIP Gerry Rafferty, such an excellent song) even though I think that there should be 5 do's at the end of the first line (rather than 3).
dooo dwee do, do do do do do
dooo dwee do, do do do
