Hawaiian 3G Hotspts

Best Pay-As-You-Go 3G data option for a Canadian visiting Hawaii?
Mrs Beetle and I will be visiting Oahu next month, and while the hotel we're going to be staying in is amazing, it lacks one crucial thing: wireless internet. It has wired in-room internet but that's $15/day. We'd rather have a portable hotspot (MiFi, etc) to take with us.
The current plan is to stop by Best Buy in Oahu on the day we arrive, and buy a Virgin MiFi with a pay-as-you-go plan, then sell the MiFi on eBay once the trip is over.
Does this sound do-able for a non US resident? Are there any better options for getting a couple of hundred MB of wireless data over the course of a week?

On the other hand, CLEAR certainly advertises here. Another possibility is Mobi, which is a local company that I'm certain has pay-as-you-go plans for its cell phones, and has a wireless internet service called "Hele".
