What is the name of that song that has lyrics like "Becky was a choir girl, down in Costa Rica, Susan was a fire-fighter way out west in Chico"?
There's a drum machine and the singer delivers everything in a monotone drawl. 90s alternative radio hit. Something like "33 girls in 4 minutes" but I can't get the actual numebrs right so I can't google the name.

If you're interested, cortex posted a spoof of 88 Lines About 44 Women on music.metafilter.com called 88 Lines About 44 Mefites in which he substituted notable mefites for the women in the original.

Response by poster: Fuck yeah, Confess!
thanks so much.
I was convinced it was the Butthole Surfers, but then I remembered I was convinced it was the BSs when it came out and was wrong. I couldn't for the life of me find the name of the group. Now I can send the song to my girlfriend at work for no reason at all.
When searching for 88 lines' I found this song, which is funny.

Huh. I always thought that was a Jim Carroll song. I must be conflating it with People Who Died.
Brains are funny...

I suspect this somewhat-similar song may be why you thought it was the Butthole Surfers.

i am loving that your example lyric is wholly invented and awesome. it fits the meter, it fits the scheme, it works, it could easily BE a lyric in the song... but isn't. so rad.

MetaFilter's own lore did 88 lines about 42 presidents.

I totally associate those two songs as well.

Oops, that wasn't actually by lore, but by one of his fellow Shuttlecocks. My bad.

Um, it's definitely not "88 Lines..." Not sure what it is. Could be "People Who Died".
