Analysis of Scott Walker's The Drift

I'm looking for intelligent analysis, commentary, criticism of Scott Walker's The Drift.

Links, essays, anything welcome. I really want to dig deep into this album. The lyrics are intriguing, cryptic and seem to demand footnotes (e.g. references to Balkan genocide, Mussolini's lover.) I found this in-depth essay at The New Centennial Review but I believe I'd need academic research access to get the PDF. That essay or similar writings would be greatly appreciated.

Response by poster: A MeFite has graciously provided me with the PDF mentioned above.

Additional analysis and commentary would be excellent!

Best answer: You've found the definitive essay, I'd say, but Rob Young is publishing this book in 2011 which may contain more of what you're craving. There are a few links to things on the Wikipedia page, but none of them are terribly substantive.

Wait ten more years until it's really sunk in.
