Wedding guest resources in RI?

I am getting married in providence, RI and having the reception in Cranston, RI. I am in the process of creating a list of hotels, B&B and things to do for guests. Any recommendations for: Hotels B&B's Things to do around town Info on how to get deals at hotels for wedding guests? Thank you so much for your help and happy holidays!

What time of year is the wedding? RI's beaches are legendary. A day trip to Block Island or Newport are always great options too - but for Block you really want nice weather.

Rhythm & Roots is a fun festival, and it's the same weekend.

The Days Inn right by Garden City is an inexpensive place to stay. It's where my family stays when they fly in to visit.

Oh, and if you call the hotel and ask to book a block of rooms, very often you can get a discounted rate.

Quahog.org has a whole section on fun things to see in RI. It has a calendar too, but there isn't anything listed for Labor Day weekend yet.
