Brian Enoish song stuck in my head
November 6, 2010 2:22 PM

Got a Brian Enoish song stuck in my head. Any ideas?

I have a song stuck in my head and I don't know what it is. In the background is a loop that sounds nearly exactly like this:

The Last of the Famous International Playboys by Morrissey

Except that on top is a soulful, repeating of "Oooh ooooooh" in a male voice of maybe Brian Eno.

And I feel like the song was made by Brian Eno or David Byrne (or related artists) in the past couple years.

I mined these albums with no success:
- Everything That Happens Will Happen Today
- Here Lies Love

I might just be imagining things. Anyway, thought I'd throw it out there for the hive mind!

If you don't get an answer here, try making a Brian Eno or David Byrne Pandora station and wait and see if the song comes up.

The beginning reminds me a bit of Bowie's Golden Years.

@DarkForest wow, that sounds almost exactly like it! I think it might be it, or a remix of that song.

Sounds vaguely like something from Eno's "Take Tiger Mountain by Strategy". I'll give it a listen tomorrow to confim.

As a side note, David Bowie's "Golden Years" compilation album is great. Just got it, and been listening to it all weekend. I've never really been hooked onto Bowie until I listened to this.
