Manage my PBEM DnD group

Is there a free DnD 4e play-by-email (PBEM) manager available?

Some friends and I are considering reliving our youth with some DnD but considering that we're now all tech geeks we'd like to update the tech factor a bit. I'm looking for a tool to manage the characters involved as well as keep notes and storyline items. Ideally this would allow me to send emails or even generate HTML. Extra points if it lets me automate combat and other mundane DM duties.
Thanks!

I helped my friend do the donation part of iplay4e. But, it looks like WoTC finally won and he now must require you to have a D&D Insider subscription to use his excellent tools.

Take a look anyway, it is worth it, mobile access too.

Response by poster: Thanks but I don't have the DnDi subscription mainly because I can't believe they charge for it. I'll keep looking, thanks!

Yeah, the problem is that WoTC won't let independent developers use their trademarked names, rules, etc. I think it is an obvious abuse of copyright law, but no indie developer wants to pony up the funds to fight them in court, and they send very nasty lawyer letters.
