How do I get a pompomtom(1)?

Second people on xbox live (Halo Reach, specifically). How does that work?

When I play Halo Reach online, there are often people on the teams in pairs, with usernames like: username and username(1). I presumed this meant that there are two people playing at someone's place. When I have a friend around though, they can't play online, because the system complains that they aren't xbox live members. I'd've thought that if these (1)s were members, they'd have their own username.

How does this all work? What am I missing?

Best answer: I think they have to sign in as 'Guest' to play like that.

Yup they are guests, when you have a friend log into live just have him log in as Guest and you both can play.
