Help me find this please!

Another help-me-find-this-book question -___- When I was younger, like 9, I found a bunch of thin little paperback books in a bookstore in the mall. They were only about $1 each and were renditions of Heidi, Cinderella, etc. The most distinctive aspect was that the illustrations were anime-style!
I'm trying to find these books again, but I can't remember the publisher or anything that would help me track them down on the internet.
The books were very thin -- probably only 12 or 15 pages thick. They were definitely aimed at young children. The illustrations were beautiful and colorful. I can still remember Cinderella being drawn very differently from the Disney version. In the books she had jewels in her hair and a really pretty, sparkling dress.
Like I said, the drawings were done in an anime style, which I think contributed to the bright and colorful artwork. I'm pretty sure this wasn't just an obscure print run imported over from Japan or anything. The books seemed pretty mainstream and cheap and weren't anything really special or out of the ordinary. They were just little kid books. The year I found them was in the early-mid 90s
But I really want to find them again~! Please help.

I can think of the mini Dover books--very small, some were stickers/stencils/ tattoos. Good luck! They are in Ben Franklin Crafts stores and Cracker Barrel stores.

"Cinderella" was (I think) written by Hans Christian Anderson ("The Little Glass Slipper")
It might have been a picturebook adaption of "World of Hans Christian Anderson", which was animated in Japan in 1971 and has an early anime look. There was also an animated Hans Christian Anderson cartoon TV series which had an anime look (probably also drawn in Japan, if not the same studio).

Great! As soon as I read that the books were 24 pages or less I figured those were the ones.
