Can someone identify this artist?

I purchased some interesting art at a yard sale a while back, but I'm having trouble figuring out the name and identity of the artist of this piece. anyone?

Could the surname be Herrero or Herrera? That's a terrible signature - you'd think artists would want people to be able to read their name...

Looks like the artist has a painting here, too. Looks to be "J. Herrera."

On this page there are two works in a similar style with one photo showing a fairly similar signature.

I think you got it, misteraitch. I had just found that same site, and came running back to post it. The signature is almost identical.
