will my ps2 usb rock band guitar and drums work on 360 rock band?

Nope, sorry. It's a different set of inputs, the same reason you can't use a ps3 controller with an Xbox 360.

Even though is the USB guitar and drums? I could've sworn I used the Rock Band 2 USB mic on both PS2 and X360, are the guitars and drums different?

Sorry, I should have been a bit clearer. By inputs I wasn't referring to the USB connection, but the signals sent by button presses. USB mikes will work with pretty much anything, but the instruments are essentially funny-shaped controllers for their specific console.
