Audio careers in film and television
September 20, 2010 12:05 PM

I'm looking for information about careers in audio, sound and music within the film and television industries. Info like how to find an entry level job/internship, size of the industry, average income, etc for jobs like sound designer, audio editor, production sound mixer, dialogue editor, composer, foley etc. Thanks!

I would think that a good place to search for these answers might be through local schools - universities, community colleges and technical schools. I would think they would have a wealth of resources that they use for their students, and they might be able to point you in a good direction.

The Motion Picture Sound Editors Guild may be able to help you. Or, there's the Cinema Audio Society. Perhaps the Motion Picture Editors Guild as well.
