Help me come up with something creative to do with a few dozen fortunes I've collected from fortune cookies over the years!

For as long as I can remember, I've been saving the fortunes from my fortune cookies. I've got a few dozen of them by now, and I'm trying to come up with something cool to do with them.

Right now they're sitting in a small glass on my desk, which is nice, because it lets me dip in and pull one out to read every once in a while. But I'm looking for something else, maybe more permanent - and certainly more creative. Any ideas?

This thread was asking pretty much the same thing, but I'm hoping for some newer ideas, and want to focus only on those that don't involve losing the fortunes or giving them away.

I've thought about covering the lid of my laptop with them, but I'm worried that that would just look cheesy, and I'd hate to lose this collection once I replace the computer.

Inspire me, please!

Several coffee places sell the travel pubs with the inserts you can pull out & customize, decoupage style. Maybe make a fortune mug?

I stuck mine all in a row with tape and used it to front face one of the shelves on my bookshelf. Not much fits on something only a half-inch high, this was perfect.

I laminated mine, and glued magnets on the back. They look great on the fridge.

Best answer: I used fortunes to decoupage a frame. It was a boxy cheap wooden one from a craft store, I painted the sides with red paint that matched the type and used lots of coats of varnish. It looked awesome and I loved it, but lost it in a move at some point. Thanks for reminding me, because I am going to make myself a new one.

I've been known to make "fortune eggs" at Easter by putting fortunes in plastic eggs. I've also put them on walls (mine are in my cube).

Maybe put the fortunes onto one sheet, get them laminated, and then tape them to your laptop? They'd be preserved, plus you can remove them from the laptop when the time comes to replace it. I also like Adridne's idea.

Cheesy suggestion: paper mache a fortune cookie and decoupage the fortunes to the outside to make a fortune-fortune cookie

Best answer: A friend had many of them mounted in a shadowbox. I liked that quite a bit.

Publish them in a book.
