Does Las Vegas have good, legit deals on cameras?

I'm going to Las Vegas in early September. I'm also in the market for a new camera and was thinking of looking down there since I heard the shopping is quite good. Is there any reputable place to go that could be considered cheaper than normal? Some friends have gone and told me the deals they've gotten on clothing and I was curious if it's similar to camera gear.

I think the clothing deals are at the outlet centers South of town. I didn't see any electronics outlets there.

They're not especially cheap, but I have really appreciated the expert advice I've gotten from the Kodeys and staff at Casey's Cameras on Tropicana, a couple of miles east of the Strip.

Las Vegas would be an excellent place to get used cameras from pawn shops.

But if you're not going till September, I would think you'd do better buying a camera online. I buy all my electronics online. It's easy to compare prices, you're not paying for the bricks and mortar outlet, and they're all guaranteed by the manufacturer anyway.

Response by poster: Exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks, everyone. I was starting to lean towards online and I kind of want the camera for the trip anyway.
