Cambridge/Boston MeFi runners: where can I run on an indoor track in the winter?

I have been getting better about actually doing my speed workouts. Hooray! I don't want to get derailed this winter. Thinking (entirely too far) ahead, I am wondering about access to an indoor track. Once they are covered in snow, the outdoor tracks around here (MIT, Harvard, Tufts, Danehy) won't be an option.

What are my options in the Cambridge/Boston area? I would probably only want to do this for a few months, so paying by the month or by the visit sounds ok to me.

I am a Tufts alum, so I can buy a membership to the Tufts facilities, but there doesn't seem to be a monthly option, so it would get expensive if I only used their track in the cold months. And they have very limited hours during winter break anyway, cutting back on how useful this is.

Not an answer, but snow doesn't hang around on the Danehy track long in my winter experience, FWIW.

My googlefu has turned up the community running organization which has a seasonal membership (not expensive) and lets you run at the MIT track during the winter without paying an additional fee.

Cambridge Sports Union has access to BU indoor track. Community Running and Cambridge Running Club have access to the MIT indoor track.

Response by poster: Thanks for the answers. Very niche question, I realize.

I do know the various local running clubs have access to the university tracks. Somerville Road Runners would probably be closest to me, they run at Tufts. I'd rather run myself, but I may look into buying a membership with one and then just never going to their group practices. We'll see.

If I come up with some staggeringly amazing solution, I'll post it for the masses, yearning to run, who may happen upon this in the future.
