Can you recommend a good site that directs how to jailbreak and unlock for iOS 4.01?

I am looking to jailbreak and unlock my iPhone 3G with iOS 4.01 to sell on Ebay. My google-fu is failing to find a simple, concise method of doing so. Can you recommend a guide/webpage that does what I'm looking for?

I have jailbroken my phone in the past, so I do have some knowledge on the topic. I also downloaded PwnageTool4.01, but beyond that I could use a hand...walkthrough would be awesome if someone has one handy.

Are you sure you want to upgrade to 4.0.1? Performance of that iOS on that device is lousy, and there are probably easier jailbreaks for older OSes.

My brother jailbroke his 3G for the same reason, and got so mad that he went out the next week and bought a 4G.

If you have already upgraded your 3G to iOS 4.x, you can downgrade it to 3.1.3 by following these instructions. I did this and it worked great.

Once you have 3.1.3, there are trivially easy jailbreaks that your Google Fu will not fail to find.

There are links on that site for doing other versions, etc.

I recently sold my 3G on eBay and people WANTED me to have 3.1.3 installed on it. So I had 3.1.3 unlocked and jailbroken. I sold a 16gb for over $200.

I sold my old *locked* iPhone 3G with iOS4 on eBay for $230 recently. No one asked me to unlock it first. Avoid the hassle and just sell it as-is!
