Who is the senator who was very vocal about getting access to the live feed of the BP oil spill in the Gulf?
I'm trying to help a few friends who are journalists (as well as help myself when the time comes) who are having issues getting access to beaches and other areas in LA damaged by the spill. I'm trying to figure who in congress to call to complain about limited access who might have a sympathetic ear.

Pretty sure it was Representative Edward Markey (D-MA).
From some blog
He hosted the feed on his own website.

It was actually Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) who was the person demanding that BP "make a live video feed from the source of the leak continuously available to the public."

BTW -- check out this article about the illegality of preventing journalists access to the beaches: Uniformed Cops on BP Payroll? Enter the ACLU.
Mentioned in the article: Marjorie Esman is the executive director of the ACLU & ACLU Foundation of Louisiana exposing the First Amendment violation. They should also contact her -- (504) 522-0617 ||(866) 522-0617.

Just in case anyone stumbles into this thread looking for info I wanted to let you know that Katie Schwartzmann (kschwartzmann@laaclu.org) of the ACLU is spearheading the effort to get press rules clarified regarding access in the areas affected by the spill in LA.
