Best mixtape for overload circuits?
June 26, 2010 4:25 PM

Help me compose a workout tape.

I'm looking for a list of good songs to have on a mixtape for listening to when working out on strength and overload circuits. The songs should be fairly intense without being too fast/over the top. The kind of thing that makes you think "I'll keep going till the end of this song, even though I reeeally reeeeally want to stop."

Examples of the kind of track that I'm looking for are Aisha, The Worm, Club Foot and Crawl.

Hahaha, yeah, I was thinking of "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse". The intro is great, but then it gets into that 4000bpm drumming that I hate.

The perfect track for this requirement: Avalanche Master Song.

Though In the Meantime comes in a close second.

Dead Weather is good, the kind of thing I'm looking for. As is In The Meantime. The Les Savy track and the one by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a bit hollow/shouty. No meat about them. If that makes sense. Cheers for the suggestions though.

OK, another couple for you, both from Killing Joke: Gratitude, Exorcism.
