Can Collective Access check out items?

For museum and archives people: has anyone used Collective Access for cataloging? Specifically, does it let you check things out to a user like a library catalog would?

My division has two collections we need to find new databases for. One is a traditional museum catalog and I think Collective Access would be perfect for it. The other is a hands-on loan collection. It would be awesome for people to see where an object is, when it will be returning, to place a hold on it, and be able to register an account.

Response by poster: Just for those who favorited, I wrote to Collective Access and they said that, no, there is no checkout mechanism. I asked them if someone with a good knowledge of PHP could make a checkout module that would work with their catalog, they said yes. Just thought you guys might be interested.
