Where to find good mead in the Atlanta area?
So, I'm attending a party this weekend, and mead has been specifically requested as a party favor. I have a two part question. First, mead fans, what brands would you recommend that are readily available? Second question: In the Metro Atlanta area, do you know of any liquor or wine stores that have a good selection of mead?

I think you want the Green's on the corner of Ponce & Ponce Place (in front of Kroger). I've never seen mead at the one on Buford Hwy.
Failing that, maybe calling Brick Store in Decatur? They're one of the few bars that regularly pours mead, so someone there might know.

Call me I'm a mead snob, but I haven't found a commercial mead worth drinking. Instead I'd call a homebrew shop and ask them if they know any mazers. The Atlanta Beer Guide lists some shops, and Beerinfo lists some clubs. If you ask nice most homebrewers can be talked out of a bottle or two.

If all else fails, and no mead is readily available, Dogfish Head makes Midas Touch, which is like, mead beer. I hate mead and I hate this beer, so I would suppose that your chance of having a mead-lover love it are pretty good.
