Hungry in South Kensington

I would like your recommendations please for restaurants/cafés in South Kensington/Knightsbridge.

Hello all. I have recently moved to London, and am still trying to find my way around. Best places to drink/eat/etc.
Specifically, I am after recommendations for restaurants or cafés in the area between (or near) South Kensington and Knightsbridge tube stations.
We visit the area one evening every week to attend an event, and would like to eat at about 17.30-19.00.
My SO has a slight intolerance of wheat and dairy products, so any recommendations that take this in to consideration would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Best answer: The Imperial Canteen around the corner from South Ken tube, on Exhibition Road. Fast, cheap, great for an informal quick meal.

Best answer: There's an awesome sushi restaurant/cafe just around the corner from South Ken tube station: Kulu Kulu (39 Thurloe Place, London, SW7 2HB).

Best answer: I think randomination means the Oriental Canteen. It is fast and cheap and good and was a favourite of my Chinese ex-colleagues.

Daquise, the Polish restaurant across from it, is also good.
