Monitoring my own time

Recommendations for software to manage time, particularly when browsing the internet.

Do you have a recommended program for keeping track of time? I'm a grad-student, and would like to analyze my computer productivity.

Searching google throws up a ton of software, but much of it seems targeted at offices. I'm interested in knowing what I spend my time on, and if using the internet what sites I use the most. For internet time, I would love to have something that is syncable on a few computers and that works with firefox. I mainly use Win 7 and OSX.

A few links I found refer to 8AWeek and Getmeetimer, both of which are now obsolete.

I'd recommend searching through Lifehacker, they're sure to have done research on what you're looking for.
